Complete review of an encounter through all steps in the claims process to identify key lagging areas such as but not limited to Fee Schedule Mgmt., Scheduling, Check-In/Check-Out, Encounters without charges, Coding, Charge/Payment posting processes and lags, etc. (See Revenue Cycle Assessment illustration.)
Practice Management and EHR system features, functions, and use to identify system configuration errors as well as functions that are not in use that could be beneficially used to reduce workloads and increase productivity
Roadmap creation focusing on: 1) identification of all potential issues; 2) creation of a resolution project plan with courses of action to be taken based on ROI; 3) a quantification of the range of potential financial opportunities; and 4) conduct a vetting session with management on the issues and proposed recommendations
As is our philosophy, we partner with our clients to both identify and help them drive to the goals identified. With our Revenue Cycle Assessment projects, we will further develop a follow-on proposal to begin implementing the specific courses of action that need to be taken to tighten the processes and eliminate potential gaps where issues could occur.
